Chronicles of Madness – Episode 42

In our 42nd episode of Madness Chronicles, we will see the insanity of America’s leaders and their astonishing hypocrisy. Remember, insanity is a state of mental illness, gross and extremely foolish behavior, and a frenzied or chaotic form of activity. Let’s take a look at a lineup of hypocrisy in 2020.

In North Carolina’s Mecklenburg County, manager Dina Dilorio recently held a press conference to announce that everyone should stay home and self-quarantine over the Christmas holidays. A journalist asked him what he was doing. She responded without a hint of embarrassment that she and her family traveled to Durham with relatives.

New York City Mayor Bill DiBlasio announced that he would close all gyms due to the closure of the coronabalogna. Shortly after that, his staff reported that he ran away to go to the YMCA because it kept him grounded. Down the street in Philadelphia, Mayor Jim Kinney closed the city to indoor dining. He was later seen in Delaware having dinner without a mask. What is good for the goose is obviously not good for the goose.

In Chicago, Mayor Lori Lightfoot is not in the least ashamed of her hypocritical behavior. The city is closed, but she needed a haircut, so she went to her favorite salon and got her trimmed. When confronted, she simply said that it was the face of the city, and that if she wanted a haircut, she would get it for her. That kept her allowing protests despite the closure … except in the blocks near her home. She ordered those closures.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, the infamous Nancy Pelosi, was filmed in her San Francisco living room. Despite city blockades, Pelosi was exempt. When it was discovered, he said the owner of the salon had tended it. He had to cancel a planned Democratic Party dinner that week after all the bad press about getting his perm.

California Governor Gavin Newsom was caught having a fancy dinner at the famous French Laundry restaurant that he prefers. He apologized that he had banned indoor eating of any kind in the state. Virginia Governor Ralph Northam, whose name may actually be in the dictionary as ‘hypocrite’, was caught walking on Virginia Beach without a mask after issuing a mask warrant. His defense was that he didn’t plan to be six feet from anyone. Suppose that would work for you and me.

Washington DC Mayor Muriel Bowser traveled to Delaware to hear Joe Biden’s victory speech after the election. When confronted, Ms. Bowser said that despite the travel restrictions she issued in DC, she was exempt because it was “essential travel.” Imagine, these are adults who guide us.

California Senator Dianne Feinstein was seen chatting with her aides and others, without a mask, minutes after arguing in the Senate for a nationwide mask mandate. Not to be outdone, California lawmakers who support all of the draconian restrictions in their states set by Governor Newsom recently traveled to Hawaii for a conference.

Austin, Texas Mayor Steve Adler, who closed his city, recently hosted a family wedding reception for twenty guests. The next day he boarded a private jet to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Denver Mayor Michael Hancock issued a tweet warning citizens to avoid traveling on Thanksgiving Day. That was 30 minutes before he boarded a flight to travel with his family for the holidays.

In case you haven’t realized it, today’s politicians believe they are above the law. They firmly believe you too, and I’m stupid. If any of them thought that the mortadella crown was as serious as they say, they would act like that.

May we wake up from this madness before it is too late. I wish you good health, and until next time, have fun, enjoy life, and watch out for the madness between us. It’s 2020, look around you; It is outrageous.
