Collector Artist – PUA – Article on Seduction – Can Meditation Help Me Raise Chicks?

Ross Jeffries has been promoting yoga and meditation for years as one of the ultimate tools for inner play and self-development. I decided to start yoga based on his strong affirmations … and now I am a strong advocate of yoga and meditation as well.

Someone asked me to explain how yoga and meditation helped me get rid of anxiety. I will share my experience; For the sake of simplicity, I will refer to everything as “yoga”. What I’m actually doing is about 15 minutes of aligning simple yoga movements with my breathing (asanas), followed by sitting in the classic meditation posture and just concentrating on my breathing and being present in the moment.

How it helps:

1. When you practice yoga constantly, you get a much greater awareness of your consciousness. When you do yoga, you are doing your best to focus your attention on your breath and be fully present in the moment. In everyday life, you begin to notice when your attention is fully present and when it is being “absorbed” by some emotion or thought.

2. Yoga weakens the “hold” of negative emotions. Negative emotions can have a powerful and fascinating effect on consciousness. Have you ever been caught in a bad mood and you just can’t not get out of the funk? That’s what I mean by arresting: you don’t have the option to stop inner negativity because you don’t have the inner clarity to recognize what is driving and fixing your thoughts. When that clarity is there, you recognize a subtle cycle of emotion that leads to thought, leads to emotion, leads to another thought, etc. This recognition gives you the power to choose whether or not you would like to participate in the emotions.

3. Yoga improves your overall mood. Since negative emotions don’t stop your awareness, you don’t get caught up in negativity. Free of negativity and negative thought patterns, life feels pretty good!

4. Yoga gives you amazing inner clarity. And not just consciously: you will notice that your head is clear and creative thinking is flowing freely. I think this is because yoga gives your mind the space to (in Shinzen Young’s words) resolve countless microscopic conflicts in our subconscious mind. Having had the experience of doing yoga regularly, I think there is a lot of truth to this. You will also notice that because you are clear and your emotions are not so “exciting”, you have the option of noticing your negative habits and patterns rather than just automatically replaying them.

5. Yoga makes you more present in this moment. It makes sense: since you are aware of your consciousness, you will naturally be present in the moment, as that is what you are practicing while doing yoga. Most people are unaware of their conscience, so when someone does something unexpected or unwanted, their awareness flows into their head or into negativity.

6. Yoga makes “bad” emotions feel “good” in a way. This is hard to explain if you haven’t experienced it, but I’ll try to capture it. When we experience an emotion, it has a flow of feelings in our body. It lasts for a relatively short period of time. But when we think about what is happening, it can increase the power of that emotion very quickly, prolonging and intensifying the emotion. One way this can happen is simply through our beliefs, frames, and interpretations about a situation. One person labels a roller coaster as scary and is terrified; another labels her as funny and excited. Yoga gives you the option of simply experiencing, without labels, pure emotion. When you simply experience an emotion (without the added resistance of thought), even “bad” emotions can feel “good” … Kind of like a Swedish massage.

If you are interested in learning more about meditation, how to meditate, and its benefits, check out Shinzen Young’s The Science of Enlightenment. Seriously, if you buy it, you will see that it is worth its weight in gold. If you were a seduction / dating coach, you would need to listen to this course.

I’ve already posted on yoga and meditation, but most people seem to think: a) it’s fruity or too new, b) sounds like a good idea, but “they don’t have time” or c) it’s boring.

And yet these same people are incessantly searching for the “new hot inside game technique” or the “latest state generation technique.” Trying to find some high octane “secret” to break some limitation they decided was real (energetically, emotionally and mentally).

But really, yoga and meditation (as I see it) is a participation in naturalness. As yoga teachers have said, “It is a participation in life.”

I was thinking about meditation and exercise this morning. I was thinking about how unnatural our modern lives are when we have NO meditation or exercise. Can you imagine a caveman sitting in one place, all day, without being present in the moment? That’s pretty much like a modern day person … add to that a crappy diet and it’s no wonder modern people are so susceptible to unhappiness, obesity, disease, etc.

I would love if my journal could inspire people to adopt good habits like exercise and yoga. If nothing else, to complement your pickup / seduction game.

Someone told me, “It’s great that yoga / meditation has helped you get rid of anxiety, but can meditation and / or yoga help lift girls?”

Based on what I’ve been seeing … YES.

But one step is missing. Let’s say someone asked me, “Can exercise help you lift things?” Yes, indirectly. If you exercise and build your muscles, your muscles will help lift things. Exercise gives you the muscle, the muscle does the work.

In the same way, yoga / meditation will develop your ability to stay present in interaction. Your presence will be calm and steady, not flustered or flustered or foggy and “controlled.” And because of its enhanced presence, it will be much more attractive to women.

I can tell everyone that when I do yoga on a daily basis, I get a lot more positive attention from women. But beyond that … my whole experience of life intensifies and improves.
