“Hanami while walking”: Japan’s famous cherry blossom in Corona times

Tokyo – As soon as the first flowers sprout, there is no stopping them: Sakura, the cherry blossom, puts the Japanese into a state of intoxication every year with its beguiling splendor. But this year, as in 2020, everything is different because of the corona pandemic. The Corona emergency was also lifted in the Tokyo area on Monday. However, the governor of the capital once again asked the citizens to forego the traditionally humid and happy celebrations at the “Hanami”, the flower show.
