History of the Suzuki T350 motorcycle

The Suzuki T350 is a Japanese motorcycle that was first released in 1969. The original Suzuki T350 was powered by a 315cc single-cylinder, two-stroke air-cooled engine. This motor was quite fast for its time, allowing the bike to hit 0-60 mph in just 6.2 seconds. Many riders enjoy this model as much for its hard core bike style as it is for its incredible 90 mph speed. Many Suzuki T350 models were released over a four-year period until production stopped in 1973.

The first Suzuki T350 model released in 1969 was known as the Rebel. This Suzuki T350 model provided motorcyclists with a fast single cylinder piston port two-stroke engine and could easily reach 0-60 in just 6.2 seconds. Many people were surprised by the small fuel capacity (3.9 gallons) that helped Suzuki strive to get the drawing board out for the Suzuki T350 2 that was released just a year later, in 1970.

The 1970 Suzuki T350 2 was installed with a much more efficient engine than the previously released Suzuki T350. The engine was an air-cooled 315cc with parallel twin and a sleeved 2-stroke aluminum piston valve. The total weight of this machine remained the same as its predecessor at just 149 kg. The biggest difference between the two models was the frame. The Suzuki T350 2 had a smooth look that many just couldn’t compete with at the time, not to mention speed as well.

In 1971, the Suzuki T350R Rebel made an appearance on showroom floors and came equipped to the same specifications as the two previous models released. The biggest difference in this model, as in many of the models, was the frame. The launch of the 1971 Suzuki T350R Rebel brought to the market a new look that resembles a current helicopter. This bike weighed only 5 pounds lighter than the original Suzuki T350 and Suzuki T350 2.

The next Suzuki T350 release was the Suzuki GT350 in 1971. This release again took on the job of revamping the body to compete with the competition. Many specs remain the same with this bike, except for the 160mm ground clearance. This ground clearance helped many riders learn what it was really like to breathe fresh air with the Suzuki T350, also known as the Suzuki GT350.

The last model was launched in 1972 and Suzuki kept its original name intact by simply calling it the Suzuki T350. The engine in this model stayed the same, power shot up to 36 at 7,000 rpm, supposedly hitting 8,000 on a good day. Suzuki offered many models for the Suzuki T350, although the bodywork mainly changed while the specifications remained the same. Suzuki T350 models offer passengers a comfortable ride with two seats and a suspension that can make a rocky road obsolete. This age of bikes has become a classic and it’s a special rarity to find one that you can call your own.
