L‘Spaniard Marc Marquez, six-time MotoGP world champion and still recovering nine months after a broken right arm, took to the handlebars of a Honda on Tuesday at the Montmelo circuit in Catalonia, according to images posted on social networks .

After fracturing the right humerus on July 19 in Jerez (Spain) during the first GP of 2020, Marquez has since been absent from the circuits and has been operated on three times, the last time in December. On Friday, the official Honda rider received the medical green light to step up his rehabilitation.

At the moment, he is registered for the first Grand Prix of the 2021 season in Qatar on March 28, with no guarantees to participate however.

“If that’s not possible, I’ll try to be there for the second Qatar Grand Prix (April 4). And if that’s not possible, we’ll try to be in Portimao, ”Portugal on April 18, the 28-year-old said during his team’s season presentation in February.

Last weekend, Marquez had already taken over the handlebars of a mini-motorcycle.
