‘Slice, dice, and you can turn the cat off at night! Oh please! “

Internet marketing skills are not difficult to acquire. But it takes focus, discipline, and a professional mentor. I’m a chef and I love using cooking terms to explain internet marketing strategies. Read as I “slice” the nonsense found in most internet marketing strategies like a French knife. In today’s article I’m going to offer mouth-watering “delicious tips”.

The two current terms are: MICE EN PLACE and MARKETING FUNNEL. Mice instead [Meez en Ploz]- “Things in their place, everything has its’ place”

In the kitchen, culinary terms are used to describe cooking processes; an example, deglaze [deeGLAYZ] means adding a cold broth or wine to the bottom of a skillet that was used to cook meat or vegetables. When the cold liquid hits the pan, the caramelized food particles are lifted out of the pan and can then be used to make a sauce or soup.

However, the term Mice en Place is more of a philosophy than a cooking process; let me explain. If you are going to make 20 apple pies, it is best if you have all the ingredients in front of you; apples, flour, sugar, measuring cups, spoons and cake pans, as well as a preheated oven, the most important ingredient being the recipe card so you can convert the recipe. All of this is Mice en Place; everything in its place and everything has a place. This philosophy is used for all cooking processes.

So how does all of this apply to internet funnel marketing? (Hint: I swap the words Funnel and Marketing, because a funnel is a funnel) In a span of 2 years, I have spent several thousand dollars trying to find the most effective Internet business model for me. I bought a money-making program that guaranteed success overnight; “Just plug it into our system and let it work for you” (Cut, dice, oh please!).

Then you had to make money completing surveys (Oh! Did I say I made money completing surveys? No! No! They made the money with me). Eventually I started to find legitimate businesses, but couldn’t do anything with them because there were too many pieces and loose ends missing; which means that he had to keep spending money on other services that were not mentioned in his so-called “Complete Internet Business System”.

So “mice instead” I say. That’s how it is! Mice instead! If Mice en Place had been used to develop these business models, everything would have been available to me “HERE!” And right now! “Or at least the concept would have been more complete; or at least my understanding of this would have been more solidified or strengthened (Sorry! I had to use another cooking term).

So there is a term that is very similar to my cooking term. It’s called an internet marketing funnel; a philosophy like Mice en Place. Internet Funnel Marketing does not claim to be a complete business and there are also no step-by-step instructions to follow. So what good is Chef?

I will describe it without the use of a drawing; or will I? Both Mice in Place and Internet Funnel Marketing seem like a funnel; hence the name. When cooking, all the ingredients are brought together and placed in a funnel (not literal); Ingredients are collected, assembly required, product baked, then finished. (Figure A)

The internet marketing funnel is similar; (Fig. B) Customers are offered complimentary products by visiting your site and then invited on board for a stay to learn about the other products and services you have to offer. There is nothing scary here, you don’t fall into a deep hole. Most Internet companies don’t give you this opportunity, telling you that you will take advantage of it, even when you sleep; that’s the hole you don’t want to fall into.

The funnel concept is wonderful because the more you enter, the more you learn about the Company and its benefits; you also build better relationships, a better rapport with each other.

The abstract chef
