Stripper Salaries: How Much Money Do Strippers Make?
They ask me all the time, “How much money do strippers make?” Well, it varies from a good night to a bad night, but let’s say a stripper only averages $ 200 per shift and works 4 times a week. That’s $ 800 per week or $ 40,000 per year. If you work 5 times a week, that’s $ 1000 / week or $ 50k per year. When I first published this article in the fall of 2007, most of the strippers I knew averaged $ 500 a shift, working 4 shifts a week, which translated into a 6-figure business.
Some strippers are still making that amount of money (those who have taken a stripper sales training course certainly are!)
I spent a good 2 hours researching the Bell Curve professional salary statistics. If you are not a statistician, let me explain. In this case, the bell curve measures the distribution of wages from the lowest 10th percentile, the middle 50th percentile, and the highest 90th percentile. The bell curve measures the data with greater precision than an average. Average is a poor measure of your data because a very high or a very low number can completely skew your average. (Postpone, postpone…. I was a math teacher? Do you remember ???)
All figures are in thousands of dollars, except that M means millions.

I included baseball players because it makes me laugh how these minor league guys walk into the strip club during spring training. They love to tell the door staff that they should come in for free because they are baseball players, and they think the girls should give them free dances because they are baseball players. New girls eat it because they think they’re sitting on the next Derek Jeter’s lap. Uh …. nope …. homeboy only makes $ 2500 a month !! Also keep in mind that although the newspapers report that the average baseball salary is 2 million, most of that money goes to the best players like Bonds, Jeter, Sosa, etc. Most of the guys in the league are making $ 385K. Not bad … but a far cry from the “average” of 2 million.
What I found most depressing were the higher education salaries. Everyone knows that public school teachers don’t make a lot of money … but college teachers are not far behind. Look at the salary range for college deans! These are some of the brightest minds in the world … and they don’t earn much more than a stripper?
Bring home the fact that EDUCATION is not equal to MONEY never more. I wish I could change that equation, but I can’t. Go to school, get an advanced degree, no warranty you have a secure job with a pension, as many college graduates are now discovering.
I’m not saying that striptease is the solution for all attractive women. However, if you are thinking of becoming a stripper or want to earn more money stripping, a sales training course can help you.
