The best beaches located near the Big Apple

Long Island, New York has the best of both worlds with beautiful beaches and waterfront properties and also a short distance to Manhattan and all that New York City has to offer. Many people have heard of the prosperous Long Island, enclave of the Hamptons, but there are also some other wonderful beaches located on the largest island in the United States, says a violin teacher and a singing teacher. This article will explore some of the best beaches to visit on Long Island, including the famous Hamptons. They are Jones Beach State Park, Robert Moses State Park, Fire Island, and Montauk Point.

The best known location being the beach and the Hamptons community. This is the beach location for many wealthy celebrities and other wealthy people who live in nearby New York City. During the summer, The Hamptons is packed with celebrity-filled events and parties, making it the place to be and be seen. Coopers Beach in Southampton and Main Beach in East Hampton are continually ranked in the Dr. Beach World’s Top Ten list each year. Famous residents who live there permanently are Billy Joel, Christie Brinkley, and Martha Stewart, to name a few. It is also a great place for artists and has many high-end galleries in the area. In addition to the beautiful beaches, The Hamptons has great restaurants, shops, art, and nightlife for visitors.

There are two great beaches that are part of the Long Island state park system. They are Jones Beach State Park and Robert Moses State Park. Jones Beach was built by master planner Robert Moses in 1929 and is the largest public beach on Long Island. It is also the closest to Manhattan making it an ideal destination for those who want to get out of the city for the day. It also has a 15,000 seat theater where summer concerts are also presented. Robert Moses State Park is smaller than Jones and less crowded. It doesn’t have the theater or boardwalk that Jones has, and it’s three miles less of beach. The famous Fire Island Lighthouse is also located in this park.

Another great beach on Long Island is known as Fire Island and it is a 32 mile long island with many different beach communities and the beautiful Fire Island national shoreline. There are houses, rental cabins, and hotels, as well as shops, restaurants, and live music to make it a favorite vacation destination. This is regularly voted a favorite of all beach communities on Long Island for its beaches, charm, and overall feel.

The last beach is Montauk Point and it is actually considered part of The Hamptons, but it has a totally different feel. It is a very quiet area with rocky beaches that make it a favorite fishing area and one of the best on the East Coast. The Montauk Point Lighthouse is over 200 years old and was built in 1797 by George Washington and is a great thing to visit.
