Yellow birch wood is sometimes used just like cherry (an expensive wood but with an unrivaled reddish-brown hue).

The Bonavita Cabana has a classic and timeless design reminiscent of the Caribbean days of yore. It looks solid, but its smooth curved lines give it a lighter look and feel. There is a simple carved panel on the footboard that matches the carved detail on the top rail of the headboard. The robust look is reinforced by the use of rounded pear-shaped feet. The slats are simple and unadorned and are on all four sides. The ribbed legs catch the eye and give the crib an old-fashioned look.

The cabin comes in either antique white or montego brown. Montego Brown is a very rich color that has real depth. Dimensions are 33 “wx 60” lx 48 “.

The great thing about this Bonavita crib is that the railing is included. This is not usual in other brands. Unfortunately, the accessories for the headboard posts, bed rails and mattress are sold separately, so you will have to pay more for what is already an expensive piece of furniture. However, buying the extra items will save you money in the long run, as this is still cheaper than buying toddler beds and double beds separately.

It is another sturdy looking nursery furniture that has been built to last. The Bonavita cabin is nice, but is there anything to be said against it? Well, it is expensive. You can buy other brands of convertible cribs for less and, in all honesty, they are just as well made and come in a variety of finishes and designs. Personally, I really like the Cabana, but whether you choose to buy one or the other brand will depend on your taste in design. Many people prefer more modern crib styles, and for some, their overall appearance will be too “heavy” or too “sleek.”
