Beyond direct interaction with him, you can see the way he treats you in his daily life. Does he regularly put you on the back burner to hang out with his friends? Does he only make time for you when he has nothing else to do? Do you always put work ahead of you? If you answer yes to any of these questions, it is very likely that he is not ready for a serious relationship and that he is only interested in you casually.

One last, but very important way to find out if he’s taking you seriously as a potential romantic partner is to look at his social and family life, and where you fit in. Do you know his friends? Have you spent any time with your family? Has he spent any time with yours? If you are not a part of his life in the big picture, you probably won’t become one anytime soon. Keep your head straight and don’t invest too much in this type of man.
