Dungeon Rampage Facebook Game Review

Dungeon Rampage: Not your average Facebook game!

Dungeon Rampage is an action RPG/Dungeon Crawler very similar to games like Diablo and others like it, featuring randomly generated dungeons, multiplayer action with up to 4 players at once, and lots of loot and characters to play with.

This game is different from most Facebook games in that there is no energy bar present, so you can play as long as you want without penalty! You start in the rookie league and the game gives you a short tutorial level, featuring the highlander berserker. This character is a heavy melee based character, and the opening tutorial will teach you some of the basics of the game. Each character has their own strengths and weaknesses, special powers, and 3 weapon slots using the Z, X, and Y keys. Some weapons can be charged using mana to launch powerful attacks and abilities, such as the hammer that sends out a shock wave and damages enemies in your way.

As you continue to play, you will find loot chests and have different levels of rarity. Common, Uncommon and Legendary chests, and these will require the required key to open them. Most of these will offer you weapons for the various characters, or maybe some upgraded items, like XP potions or power potions.

Each character in the game has their own special power, which benefits the entire team for a short time, but can come in handy when the odds are overwhelming. You get them by collecting gold stars, which can be found by destroying statues or destroying the environment. Once you’re ready to unleash it and have filled up your special meter bar, pressing the B button allows you to become powerful and unleash your devastating power!

Fortunately, almost everything in this game can be purchased with in-game gold, or for a small price you can purchase “Gems”, which are the real money currency, to purchase new characters, styles, keys, and other items. . The styles are basically different character models, and you can buy pets to help you on your journey.

You can also have up to 3 other players join you on your dungeon crawls, and they can join your game mid-game if you let them. More players within a dungeon will increase the difficulty and the XP rewards given, but can be very helpful in some dungeons and boss fights. Continuing through the different terrains of dungeons, levels, and boss fights will take you through different leagues of increasing difficulty.

The action in this game is intense and reminds me of a cross between Smash TV, Diablo, and Castle Crashers. The character designs and cartoonish style definitely give me a bit of a Castle Crashers vibe, and the loot fest and money heist remind me of Diablo and Smash TV, which makes for a fun combination.

Overall, I found this game to be a fun and differently styled Facebook game, featuring real live multiplayer co-op, high replayability through looting and XP leveling, and a wide range of characters! to unlock and play! I definitely recommend this game to the facebook game player who wants something different!
