How to make your husband buy your favorite perfume

Congratulations! It’s my 10th anniversary and for the past two months I’ve been hinting to my husband that as an anniversary gift he would really appreciate a delicious smelling bottle of Bvlgari Perfume. For the last ten months, every time we were in the mall and passed a perfume stand or fragrance store, I would say something like “oh, how nice it would be to have a bottle of Bvlgari perfume. My friend has and I found out that it is the most fabulous smelling perfume in the world”. I thought after throwing comments like that dozens of times in the last few months, it would be crystal clear that I would buy it for my anniversary.

Well today is my anniversary and I can’t wait to get home. I could already smell the perfume from here in my office! Just ten more minutes and I’ll be on my way home to receive my long-awaited gift!

Now I’m walking into my house and I see something beautifully wrapped on the kitchen table. Oh, that must be it! The fragrance of my dreams! But wait, the box seems a bit too big to house a perfume bottle! Well, maybe it’s a very big bottle! Let me open it up and check it out! I am so excited! I open the box and there, looking back at me, is another beautifully wrapped box! Wow, my husband is so creative! He decided to wrap my precious bottle of perfume in a ton of boxes just for me to be fooled into thinking I’m something else! He is very funny!

Ok, I think I’m opening the last box! I can imagine spraying myself everywhere with it! Oh no, there must be some kind of terrible mistake! All this box contains is a very stylish electric can opener, the very latest of its kind! I mean I’m sure it will be useful, but I must be dreaming! This can’t be my 10th anniversary present!

A moment later the door opens and there is my dear husband standing there with a big smile on his face! “Happy anniversary honey, I hope you like the gift. I knew it was something you could really use, so I went to twenty-three stores just to find the best, most up-to-date, most expensive in town. Use it in good health.” !”

I am so touched by his love and care for me that he literally went to twenty-three stores looking for a gift for me, but I can’t help but be amazed at how detached men can be! Well, I guess I’ll start saving money to buy this perfume for myself. But after all is said and done, all I can say is that I learned a very important lesson. When it comes to dealing with men, be very direct. If you expect to get something just by hinting, you’re in for a big surprise!
