–If you can tolerate any food, try the BRAT diet (bananas, rice, applesauce, toast).

–Dry the cookies next to your bed, but only if you nibble on them! And eat them in bed before trying to get up and moving.

–Avoid greasy or spicy foods, or foods with a strong odor

–Have your food and drinks at room temperature, hot food and drinks with sand can increase nausea

–If you want cooked foods, you can cook fruits and vegetables (such as apples and carrots) Lightly cook them with fresh ginger

–Drink mint tea or ginger tea

–Peppermint essential oil, Spearmint essential oil, Ginger essential oil (Put a drop on your finger and touch your finger to your tongue.) Be sure to only use therapeutic grade oil with supplemental label information (Young Living meets these requirements)

–Small sips of room temperature filtered water with a drop of one of the above essential oils. Do this every fifteen minutes to avoid dehydration.

–Fresh celery juice with carrot and ginger

–Small sips of cool, not cold, naturally carbonated, sugar-free drinks such as Perrier or Pelligrino

–If you vomit, be sure to replace fluids along with mineral sand electrolytes. Drink any fluids you can keep down, including broths, clear juices, and natural nectars.

–If you need to replenish electrolytes and can’t get to a health food store or your Young Living supply, you can drink drugstore-bought Pedialyte or Gatorade (try to get everything without sugar when possible) at regular stores.

–Most health food stores sell Emer’gen-C in small packets that can supply vitamins and replace important minerals. Young Living has a powerful mineral product called Mineral Essence that is administered in liquid form with a dropper. In addition to minerals, it also has Lemon, Cinnamon and Mint oils.
