Restoration of the horticultural cinema started

Vienna – There is a yawning emptiness in the great hall of the legendary Viennese gardening cinema. And not only because, due to the corona, no visitors have had access for months, but also because the 736 seats in the one-room cinema have been removed for upholstery. The institution from 1960, which has been a listed building since 2018, is being completely renovated by architect Manfred Wehdorn and returned to its original state. 3.36 million euros and half a year of construction are estimated for this.
