What makes the Wings for Life World Run so unique? There is no physical finish line to cross, but an app on your smartphone with a virtual finish line that chases you to catch up with you.
You start wherever you want at exactly the same time as other participants around the world. In Belgium, it’s at 1:00 p.m., which means runners in Tokyo, for example, start their race at 8:00 p.m. 30 minutes after the virtual tee shot, the virtual finish line begins its pursuit. As soon as you are caught up, your race ends. The big winner of the Wings for Life World Run is the runner who is the very last (in the world!) To continue his race.
