The website ” XXXTentacion” has received a lot of attention for the bizarre advertisements and commercials that they post. Many people have commented on how strange the whole thing is, while others claim that it’s just part of the joke. One thing is for sure, if you’re anything like me and enjoy reading about strange Japanese cartoons, then you’re probably very interested in this story. I was interested enough to find out more about the website and see what all of the fuss is about.
First off, I should probably tell you a bit about the site itself. The website isn’t particularly well known, but it was created by a group of students from the University of California-Irvine who are members of the Alpha chapter of the school. They got the idea for creating XXXTentacion after running into an advertisement for the same generic Japanese cartoon they found on Adult Swim. After seeing the commercial they thought it would be fun (and a good way to get people’s opinions), so they set out to find someone who could translate the comic into English and get the translation done correctly so that they could put up their own translation and promotion of the site.
The site itself is a very simple and easy to use site. It was created mainly so people could help each other find artists that drew manga covers featuring XXXTentacion as an anime adaptation. People can search through their database to find artist that draw their favorite anime characters, and then get the translation done from there.

Another reason why I’m curious about this site comes from how the owner tells people that they won’t necessarily know how to translate the material because he or she is translating it for someone else. He also says that since the site is very new nobody knows the “most effective” ways to use the site, but that he or she will be expanding the site in the near future. I have noticed that the site has been mentioned on various anime forums as well as various places online, and so it is somewhat of a hot topic, but no one seems to have actually used it yet. So what is XXXtentacion getting an anime adaptation?
There is no confirmed word on this, but I suppose that it wouldn’t hurt to see if this site might just get an anime DVD release. Some companies like Viz Media have licensed a few of the most popular manga covers, and they sell those on their own site. This means that they are not getting their market value from selling a product that nobody wants, and they probably couldn’t stand to lose any money on the deal anyway. With that said, it wouldn’t hurt to give the site a shot. If it turns out to be a success they may decide to get an adaptation of the series on their own property instead of giving it to another company.

There is plenty of Japanese sources out there that you can find on the web, but since the manga is an English translated version of the Japanese, many people who speak English can understand the story better if they can get the original language. It is very important that you do this, because the true appeal of anime is that it is “untranslatable” in that it is able to reach out to a new audience. Many fans consider the manga to be the first anime ever produced in English, and it helped to popularize animation in North America. If you want to read the original, simply translate the name of the chapter or episode into your favorite translators and get reading. You won’t lose anything!
