Who is involved in organizing a concert?

There are many people involved in organizing a big event like a concert. There are many things that must be done for a concert to be successful. These are some of the people involved who play important roles during big events.

A production group should include an event planner or event manager who is in charge of overall production. An event planner or manager is responsible for planning the entire event and making sure that every little detail is taken care of and not neglected.

The event coordinator is also part of the production team. The responsibility of the coordinator is to search for event professionals and service providers.

It is also beneficial to have an information manager. This is the one who handles all the paperwork. The Information Officer is responsible for all documentation before and after the event.

A Security Manager or managers are responsible for making security plans and implementing them. People in security groups must ensure that the concert venue has enough entry and exit points, an adequate number of fire extinguishers, fire alarms, emergency escape routes, sprinklers, security personnel, ramps for the disabled , security cameras, first aid kits and power backups (such as generators, inverters, UPS). Security is not just for the artists and the public; it should also extend to the service provider and the security group. And because there are so many people involved in putting on a concert, one way to increase security is to have team members wear photo ID.

It’s so easy when you’re working in one place and you don’t have to worry about security but can focus on your work. By showing your photo ID cards, you get to know the people who work around you. You can’t completely ignore the possibility of someone sabotaging the production process, but having a photo ID is one way to reduce the possibility. Security managers also prepare a risk management plan. According to Wikipedia, this is a document produced by a project manager to anticipate risks, estimate effectiveness, and create response plans to mitigate them. To avoid risks, plans can be changed when necessary to prevent the problem from arising.

The infrastructure manager is responsible for the acquisition of materials, to assemble and disassemble the infrastructure such as the stage that will be used during the event. For events held on the open concert grounds, it will include the boundary wall, entry and exit gates, staff rooms, and much more.
