Why do I follow the medically average way of eating

Not interested

For the last 8 months I have followed the Medical Medium way of eating. I had bought some of his books, like his thyroid healing book, but never read it because my thyroid test results were in range and have stayed that way for a few years. So I sold his books because I knew that he believed that viruses were the main cause of many diseases, especially the Epstein Barr virus, and I had had this and the test results showed it; I felt helpless at the idea that a virus had so much power over my health.

Interested

Then after starting therapy using Logosynthesis with Anni Reynolds, she casually asked me if I knew about how to eat Medical Medium and I dismissed it, saying yes, I wasn’t really interested in it.

Keto didn’t work for me

Then I came across some information that brought his eating back to my radar, I learned that cutting out carbs, which I had done by eating the Wheat Belly way, then eating Paleo and Keto, can cause thyroid problems. Then I ran into other people who had said that they, too, had ended up with health problems by cutting out carbs. (In my recovery from hyperthyroidism, I ate everything I wanted, including lots of cakes and cookies, because it was hard enough to eat because I had no appetite.)

So I read the first Medical Medium book, which was an overview of their eating, listened to most of their podcasts, and looked at their website. And I came to understand that you could work slowly to remove viruses from your body and that certain foods were healing.

I had been discouraged by the food and its healing power, because I felt that I was already eating healthy and was only making me sick. I soon realized that the problem was eliminating certain food groups.

Celery juice

I started juicing celery right away, and realized that a half a bunch of celery in the morning was my sweet spot, where I didn’t detox too quickly and my body could handle it.

The Medical Medium is about to publish a book on celery juice.

Within a week, most of my digestive symptoms disappeared, namely bloating and acid reflux. I drink celery juice most mornings, in the early days I used to miss odd days because I felt like I needed a break, now I don’t have such strong detox symptoms.

It also took me a while to understand his heavy metal detox shake that I try to drink most days. One of the ingredients is Dulse and I turn it into capsules and have it that way as having it in the smoothie made me feel quite nauseous when I took it in the smoothie. You can have all the ingredients separately, as long as you have them all within a 24 hour period.

Fruit

He loves to eat fruits. We have really been brainwashed into believing that fruit is bad, and having more fruit in my diet has really helped with sugar cravings. There is a feeling of fullness that I get from eating this way, which I never had following any other protocol.

Vegetarian

In the last half week I have decided to become a vegetarian. Anyway, I eat about 90% vegetarian food and I have less and less desire to eat meat and chicken and I realized that by not committing to them, I could not look for other foods that could make me feel fuller, when the winter. Things like vegan burgers, which create heavier meals.

Liver rescue

His new book on how to help your liver is very in-depth and has a 369 protocol for detoxification. I haven’t tried it yet because some of the ingredients are seasonal, like asparagus. So I’ll wait until later in the year.

He has everything you need to know on his website, the best supplements to take, recipes, recipe videos, blog posts, podcasts, and Facebook groups that are very helpful for asking questions of Medical Medium followers.

I definitely feel clearer in the head and have less pain in my body from eating this way.
