You’re growing up?

Is personal growth a habit of yours? People who have achieved great success did not get there by accident. They got there because they were always growing, learning, and striving.

The people who are the best at what they do are people who innately desire personal growth. Not brief punctuated moments throughout their lives, but a lifelong habit of personal growth.

They don’t want to stay at the level they are at. They want to grow in their work, their intellect, their spirituality, their relationships. They want to grow in every area of their life. They discipline themselves to put themselves in situations where they thrive.

Personal growth doesn’t just happen, you have to choose to make your personal growth happen. You have to decide that you are going to put yourself in situations that you are in.
read good things, listen to good things and surround yourself with good people who will help you grow throughout your life.

You can enroll in what Zig Zigglar calls ‘Automobile University’. Listen to a personal growth CD while driving your car and you will grow in the long run.

Also, if you want to have a lifelong habit of personal growth, you have to decide that you will be a reader. If you already read, read more. The old saying is true, “Readers are leaders.”

There is certainly no shortage of material that we have access to that will help us along our journey of personal growth.

leadership training

One of the (many) things that I absolutely love and respect about the network marketing industry is that many of the companies in the industry are committed to empowering people to be leaders…not just in their company or the industry. but also in their lives in general. There are many different types of leadership training each year, at all levels.

My company offers a great summer training held in Estes Park, Colorado where we can all stay in cabins and spend a few days together, get leadership training at deep levels (and make deep friendships while doing it!) .

Another (which I recently got to experience for myself), takes place on a cruise ship during a 5-day cruise to Mexico. It’s open to people once they’ve reached Platinum level with the company, and the company pays for the entire trip! They love to recognize people for reaching different levels of leadership within the company, and this is just one of the ways they do it.

I have to admit that the amount of personal growth I have experienced since starting this business 6 years ago is DEEP. It’s a great side effect to be part of a great company and a great business that calls you to take on your life to the fullest. What are you waiting for?
