Bring health and wealth into your life with Feng Shui

For those who have practiced feng shui for several years, most would admit that they did so due to dire financial or health circumstances. There comes a time in life when things become too much to bear. If difficult circumstances continue for some time, people become depressed or angry (perhaps both). Feng shui can help because it moves energy in a more beneficial way. The Flying Star school seems to have the most immediate effect, at least for Westerners.

No matter which school of feng shui you subscribe to, the most common question usually has to do with wealth: obtaining, maintaining, and continuing to increase wealth. While many items have been produced that claim to bring prosperity into one’s life, it generally tends to be a slow process. From money toads, pi yao, and carp to imperial coins and gold bars, money trees, money luck keychains, and jewelry, there are so many items to choose from that most people have no idea where to start.

Here’s the important part to remember: increasing positive energy also increases negative energy at the same time, it’s kind of yin/yang. Before placing items intended to augment anything, make sure protective items are included. Favorite combinations would be a moving mantra for wealth with a super strong 5 element pagoda (check the website for my personal favourites), a golden money toad with a golden pi yao, and a fleet of wealth ships sailing in a mirror illuminated by a sunny light.

Favorite combinations for health would be a twin wu lou filled with amber chips, sage, coins and white jade spheres, a wu lou wind chime with a Medicine Buddha or chi-lin statues nearby, or a vase of white jade lotus with a Quan Yin statue. Of course, the placement of all these elements is of vital importance. For example, place health items in the direction of the Black Star of Illness #2 (northeast corner for 2010) and protection items in the area of the Yellow Star of Misfortune #5 (southwest corner for 2010) . Wealth items go in the center of the house for 2010.

Simply having those three areas activated or protected as needed can make a world of difference in your life. Life can go from a great roller coaster ride to a nice lazy river boat ride. While feng shui doesn’t remove challenges from your path, they can be lessened considerably, to a much more manageable task. There are many practitioners out there, from all kinds of different schools. For those who are not familiar with the uses of energy cures, it would be a good idea to hire someone to assess your home. Once you have the energy flowing well, you will have the time and focus to begin your feng shui study. You can even make an online inquiry and have your chosen items shipped to you… or you can buckle up on your roller coaster and prepare for the next terrifying curve.
