DS 9: Welcome back to the upper class

Emmanuel Macron can be happy: he no longer has to peek out of a DS 7 SUV, which is puny by international standards, when he drives up in a vehicle belonging to the Grande Nation, carrying the state. In the future, he will probably stay in a 4.93-meter ship called the DS 9 and thus come close to Charles de Gaulle in Citroën’s legendary DS, at least in the automotive format. The downside: the car does not come from France at all, but is built exclusively in China, Shenzhen, from where it is exported to Europe. Those who don’t care about this little footnote and who want to indulge their Francophile inclination will, like Monsieur le Président, finally get their money’s worth again.
