Eight Dutch athletes who participated in the Euro de Torun positive for coronavirus

None of the athletes are really sick. “Some have mild flu-like symptoms, others not nothing,” said Ad Roskam, technical director of the Dutch federation. According to him, there should not be more positive cases within the ‘oranje’ delegation. “We carried out rapid tests and one more PCR test last week. The incubation period has passed, I think we will stay at eight cases, but we remain vigilant”, affirms the Dutch DT.
It is likely that the athletes were infected in Torun where, according to Ad Roskam, compliance with sanitary rules was a problem.
The Dutch federation reported these positive cases to European Athletics, the European federation, under which the Euro was organized.
