Go to a Cubs game

Go to a Cubs game!

One thing I highly recommend is going to a Chicago Cubs game. Whether you’re a Cubs fan, baseball fan, or even sports fan, a Cubs game is an amazing time. The atmosphere at Wrigley Field is unmatched. Fun for any age – strange to think about it. Each game is filled with a mix of a variety of people, all put together to cheer on a team. The booths are always packed with kids on field trips, season tickets, clubs, charity events, pub crawl groups, the list goes on.

I’ve been to Cubs games my entire life. At a young age (long ago when the Cubs weren’t the most talented team on the block), tickets to a game were cheap as rocks. For a total of $ 15, you can jump on the Addison bus, buy a ticket to the game, buy a hot dog, and still have enough money to take the bus home. Here’s a little tip: Get to the game early enough for batting practice. Many players love to throw extra balls and will literally sign anything. Except Carlos Mármol. That guy, he’s not a very nice guy.

Oh another tip: the bleacher seats are my favorite seats at Wrigley. If the best possible experience awaits you, get seats in the stands. The fans sitting there are unlike anyone I’ve ever met.

I am incredibly disappointed that I haven’t been to any matches this year yet. But that’s about to change – I just bought tickets to the August 4 game against the Diamondbacks! The first release takes place around 1:20 pm, so in case you’re reading this, feel free to meet me there! I have seats in the stands …

Some things I recommend doing if you decide to hit the friendly confines:

Walk down the avenue and witness the millions of bars. Mingle with other Cubs fans!

Definitely go down the street to Sluggers Bar and use the batting cages. They’re Iconic – This is also a great place to watch a game.

Catch a concert at Wrigley – they are known for hosting country artists and classical bands. Luke Bryan was the most recent artist to perform there!

Don’t forget to take a photo in front of the famous Wrigley sign. Turn up that insta game, an important heat test for you. Almost 250+ likes guaranteed, I promise.

The Wrigleyville area is also open to families and children:

Bring chalk to the game! Sign the famous Wrigley Wall and print your name in history!

During the offseason, the Cubs also offer a movie at the park concert. Bring everything! They put on classic movies. One of the most popular is Rookie of the Year, which was partially shot at Wrigley Field.

Sign up for a tour of the ins and outs of the stadium! You can register online, here Wrigley Tour

Take a bite to eat! The surrounding restaurants are TO DIE FOR. You can’t go wrong with Dimo’s Pizza. Food is delicious – 8.8 / 10. (Rating for a bite)

Here’s a little tip for newbies and hobbyists. There are certain requirements that one must meet when going to a game. Make sure you get a bag of peanuts. A hot dog with everything, of course. Maybe an ice cold beer. Be sure to strictly use Cubs gear. There’s nothing I hate more than when someone comes to the stadium in a Steelers cap and a Bulls jersey. Come on man. Don’t be that guy, don’t cross sports. Support the hometown and home team. Stop wearing your glove to games after age 10 (unless you’re with your kid, then that’s fair). Catch the ball with your hands! THAT’S WHY THEY GAVE THEM TO THEM! Check out this excellent example:

Another tip: if you’re really in the mood, buy some merch, support the clubhouse. Rock that shirt strong and proud. And try to buy a raffle ticket … You will be surprised. I am not a gambling player, not at all. But there is something about those entrances … Magical. I would recommend.

The culture in this stadium is unrivaled anywhere else. The atmosphere is indescribable. This place is considered a landmark, not many other MLB clubs can say that. It will always have a place in my heart. I’ve been going my whole life (long before the Cubs’ recent success) I know the games are much more difficult to access due to how expensive they have become. But I try to go to at least one game per summer (minimum). It is a must in Chicago culture.

lso – Please don’t cry like this boy in our stadium. Chill out friend Just think of 2016. I promise it will make you smile.

So bring your friends, your kids, your wife. To hell, go only if you want. Cubs play is a pleasure and should always be treated as such. Enjoy.
