When you think of oil diffusers, one of the first things that come to mind is an air wick diffuser. An air wick diffuser heats the oil in an air stone and disperses it throughout the room through fine mist like bubbles. With an air wick diffuser, you can easily create a scent that is highly aromatic without the mess or fuss created by other methods such as candles or sprays. You can enjoy the scent of your favorite essential oil all day long without worrying about any clean up.
Oil Diffusers are simple to use as well. You simply pour the oil onto the center of the wick and place the diffuser in the air. The wick will absorb the scent from the oil and the process will continue until the wick is completely saturated. Then, just take the diffuser off and you have another room full of aroma. Many people use these diffusers with essential oils for aromatherapy.

How to Use an Air Wick Diffuser
Before placing an oil into the diffuser, you should check to see if the oil is compatible with the diffuser. Some essential oils, such as lavender, lemon and eucalyptus will tend to dissolve into the air unless they are mixed with an oil that is compatible. Other oils, such as Rosemary, basil and pine will not mix well either. Make sure that the oil you choose will dissolve into the air before placing it inside the diffuser. You should also consider the temperature of the room you are placing the diffuser in, as it can vary greatly based on the oil you choose to use.
When you are finished diffusing the oil, you can remove the air from the wick by opening the top valve of the diffuser. You will then be able to pour the oil out of the diffuser onto a cotton ball. To add more fragrance, pour another cup of oil onto the cotton ball. This will continue to add scent to the air until you have completely removed the air from the wick. Be sure to keep the wick closed after you are finished.
A word of warning: Do not place any essential oils near a fan or ceiling fan, because the heat from these fans can cause the oil to merge with the air. Essential oils can be dangerous if they are not diluted correctly. Before using an air wick diffuser, make sure you follow all of the manufacturer’s instructions. These devices work best when placed in the upper third of a room. Do not leave them in bedrooms, or other areas that you are not in at all times.
