IBM Certified Technical Sales Expert Overview – Power System with Power 7 and AIX V1

Exam 000-979 is known as IBM Certified Technical Sales Expert – Power System with Power System and AIX V1. This certification will update the candidate’s knowledge and help act as a technical liaison with the vendor (power system) and the customer. A successful candidate who has completed the 000-979 exam can perform the following tasks.

• Determines customer requirements including growth and TCO analysis components.

• Understand the complex offer and determine the solution for it

• Determine solutions that include server virtualization and server consolidation.

• Provides additional (technical) assistance to the sales team and account team.

• Understand the limitations and capabilities of power system technology.

• Understands TDA processes and provides support for all IBM products.

Prerequisites for IBM 000-979:

There are some mandatory prerequisites required for candidates before applying for this exam. The following are the mandatory prerequisites and they are:

• Solid knowledge in architecture and energy systems 7

• At least 12 months of work experience related to the field.

• Solid knowledge in CIO, PowerHA, PowerVA and AIX

• Solid knowledge in the design of solutions to provide customer support.

• Solid knowledge in systems management and planning

How to register?

If a candidate meets all of these prerequisites, registration can be done on the IBM website or at Pearson VUE centers directly by paying the exam fee. The minimum passing score is 60% and the certification will be issued by IBM after successfully passing the exam.
