Is Skoda remodeling Fabia?

No matter where the economy is going and what the (rising) prices of cars are, the market, especially the Indian market, is always on the rise. Seeing this opportunity and trying to stay in the competition, Skoda Auto India plans to launch a new range of models. Skoda Auto India is thinking of replacing new models instead of Octavia. SAIs are removing Octavia from BS-IV cities.

Fabia could take Octavia’s place. It may take a few more years for these plans to come true. Therefore, none of the officials takes the risk of predicting the price or the specifications and other technical details. It is expected that the Skoda factory in Pune, can be a stage for it. The spokesperson also confirmed that it would be early to consider anything. Right now, SAI is only paying attention to the new Yeti SUV and the Fabia as a remodeled version.

The newer version will actually be a refurbishment of the Fabia. However, experts believe that it is actually an upcoming version and replacement for the Octavia. The reason connoisseurs feel that Octavia could be replaced is the changing environment. In most countries, Fabia has been replaced by Laura and is therefore Octavia’s replacement by Fabia. However, these are just speculations.

The chassis, transmission and engines are not very different from each other in both versions. So, considering the economy, that would ultimately pay off.

‘Live Mint’ says the Fabia super hatch price will be around 3 lakes to 4 lakes. Until the end of next year, the car will be presented in both gasoline and diesel versions. Chakan’s unit in Pune is still the place of production for the cars, because the company feels it is strategically located, because they have a nearby supplier base. No word from the company yet as production is at a very early stage and they have a long way to go before anything can be revealed.

It’s only a matter of time for SAI as they are firm on launching the Yeti SUV. The plans are going to be shaped and can be seen in reality towards the end of the year. The renewed reproduction will be available in India in the near future. It was recently shown to the world at the Geneva Motor Show. Initially, to be released as a diesel version, the Skoda Auto product will be priced between Rs 13-17 lakes.
