Jonathan Sacoor takes the NCAA podium

The NCAA Indoor Championships final, played in Fayetteville, Arkansas, resulted in a beautiful bronze medal for Jonathan Sacoor and his teammates in the 4x400m relay at the University of Tennessee. The quartet composed of Sebastian Cooper, Christopher Bailey, Emmanuel Bynum and Jonathan Sacoor set a time of 3.04.10 barely above their record (3.04.08) achieved two weeks earlier. The Belgian sprinter, lined up as the last torchbearer in his training, took the baton in first position but he could not prevent the return of two of his competitors. He was credited with a split of 45.81. The University of North Carolina won in 3.03.16 ahead of Kentucky (3.03.61).
