Link building tips for everyone

In this article I am going to discuss the importance of link building for SEO and how to get high quality links that significantly improve search engine rankings and not harm them.

Many people believe that to get the best rankings you need MORE links, unfortunately this is not true and the truth is that more links does not necessarily mean better rankings, first let’s take a look at what links mean and how we can actually get high quality links .

Getting links to our site (or client sites) is of course very important, but there are a few things to keep in mind, such as the following:

1) Is the website you are linking from relevant? – Now this is not always possible after all, the reason why a very popular site can become popular in search engines is because its content first becomes popular, therefore people automatically link to it . Of course when other webmasters/site owners link to another site it is not possible to check the relevancy therefore this does not matter, however they often win client sites which are based on a specific theme such as accounting, business services, golf equipment, or car audio equipment. Webmasters don’t randomly link to you because the content isn’t exciting! Although the content can be very good, people only link to things that are very educational (a good article) or something that is generally funny, like a funny YouTube video, or a good quality YouTube video. That’s why we have things like “viral videos.” Getting back to the point, though, making sure your links are relevant when you’re actually looking for links is very important, because a link to a golf equipment site from an SEO article isn’t very relevant, while a link from a golf club review article would be relevant.

2) Trust Score and Page Rank – Most people will not have done this; However, if you have ever used any link analysis software, you will see that the website ranked number 1 does not necessarily have the most links, in fact sometimes the site ranked number two could have thousands of links. more than the site at number 1 and there is a reason for this. The reason is that links give different values and a link from a PR9 site is much more valuable than a link from a PR1 site, so even though the number 1 ranked site may have 1000 fewer links than the number 2 ranked site Because the links come from sites with a high page rank, the site automatically ranks higher. This is the same for Trust Score/Rank too, if Google trusts a page a lot, like a site.edu or a site.gov, then the link will be very valuable as these represent education and government, which are naturally very trusted by Google.

3) Anchor text – Anchor text is a very important thing and is one of the main ranking factors when you are trying to rank for specific terms. Anchor Text refers to the text that covers your link. In other words, it’s a hyperlink! The link anchor text should be exactly the same as the specific keywords you want to rank for. This means that if you want to rank for the term big orange, your anchor text should be “big orange.” See how it works?
