The BIG Six Master Mind Group

In the early part of the 20th century there was a famous and powerful group of Master Minds known as the “Big Six”. These men were from Chicago and their members consisted of Wm. Wrigley Jr., owner of the gumball business that bears his name to this day with an income of more than $15,000,000 per year; John R. Thompson, who ran a chain of diners at the time; Mr. Lasker, owner of the Lord and Thomas advertising agency; Mr. McCullough, owner of Parmalee Express Company, the largest transfer company in the United States; and Mr. Ritchie and Mr. Hertz owners of the Yellow Taxicab business.

At the time of his Master Mind group, the combined income was estimated to be over $25,000,000 or an average of $4,000,000 per man. Of all these men, none had special education and all started with no money or significant credit, but became millionaires many times over.

These men began many years earlier by forming a friendly group that met at specific times to discuss their businesses, plans, and ideas, and to help each other in any way they could. The whole purpose of the group was to help each other by sharing ideas and lending money in emergencies.

Each member of this group became a billionaire through their harmonious intellectual group, learning to think at a higher level with a common purpose.

One of the strongest and most powerful corporations of the early 20th century was the United States Steel Corporation, which grew out of a single idea by Elbert H. Gary, a lawyer from a small town in Chicago, Illinois.

Gary assembled a special group of men who formed a highly successful Master Mind group, the Board of Directors, which ensured the outstanding success of the United States Steel Corporation.

Look around you for any extremely successful business and you will discover a focused Master Mind group called your board of directors, who are working in a harmonious, focused and friendly manner, led by a strong and competent leader.

When the leader becomes weak, corrupt, or indifferent, or the board of directors loses harmony and focus, the company will suffer and/or collapse. Just look at what has happened in recent years with major corporations collapsing after decades of success.

Most people look at a successful and wealthy person or corporation and believe that their wealth lies in their cash, resources, property, and inventory; what most people don’t realize is that the largest and most important element that constitutes the value of a person or company is knowledge and the ability to apply that knowledge.

A Mastermind that maintains its harmony, values, and trust could lose everything and still regain its wealth through the power of its Mastermind and accumulated knowledge. But he loses the trust, respect and harmony of the members of the group and all is lost.
