The voices in your head are what have made you overweight

If you’re overweight and desperately want to lose it, you may have already tried the ‘old fashioned’ way that involves dieting and months of deprivation and dieting. If you’re on a diet, you’ll experience cravings, be hungry most of the day, and feel left out while others enjoy the foods you love but aren’t on your ‘allowed’ list.

This old-fashioned way of losing weight has one major flaw: It works while you’re on a diet. But after a few days/weeks, the dieter ‘falls off the wagon’ and the weight lost usually comes back with a little more weight. We now know that diets fail 95 percent of the time to help people who start them lose weight over the long term.

A much better way is emerging as we explore neuroscience and the capabilities of the human mind. We have discovered that our brain works like a computer and that different programs can be run successfully. Our mind is like a record with rhythms that play the same melody over and over again. But if you put some new beats on the record, it will play the new tune and the old beats will just fade away.

We can use this concept with great success to lose weight. We are often overweight because the grooves on our record are playing a tune that is not compatible with a slim, fit, and healthy body; they are a match for one who is overweight. Eating the wrong kinds of food, overindulging, and avoiding exercise are all kinds of records overweight people play for.

You might want to argue that you’ve been thinking about losing weight for years and it STILL hasn’t happened (at least not permanently). And here’s the rub, even though she’s been thinking about losing weight and slimming down, but she’s been doing it from the perspective of an overweight person.

Nothing has changed with the record you are playing in your mind. You still have the same wrong thoughts and beliefs that made you overweight in the first place. It can never work and you may have already experienced it. Good?

Old misinformation and inherited wisdom about nutrition, diet, food, and what proper exercise really means, combined with plain old self-delusion, is causing a hindrance in your mind’s programming. This is what will derail all your ‘good intentions’ over and over again, no matter how many diet or exercise programs you start.

The only way to ‘unstuck’ is to change your register, to change your limiting thoughts and self-beliefs (which you may not even be aware of) to more focused, empowering and productive ones. When you do this, you will start to think and feel differently, and more importantly, you will find yourself doing different actions than you did before, and then you will get different results.

It’s really that simple, change your thoughts, change your beliefs, let yourself be guided in different actions (healthy eating and constant adequate exercise) and POW, everything around you also changes. Even your body weight? Yes, absolutely your body weight. Permanent weight loss is the direct result of changing the way you see, feel and think about your own body and, in a deeper sense, about yourself.

Once you get an upgrade to mental software, you’ll be ‘running’ the same software that a naturally thin person ‘runs’. These people never stress about food or their weight. They are not overweight and never will be. This is how you can automatically lose weight easily and with NO PERMANENT effort and no diet plan in sight. You won’t need one.

Of course, you won’t know how to change the registry in your mind on your own, but I do, and I can help you reprogram yours. As you implement the simple ideas that I will provide, you will gradually feel an inner change taking place.
