The longing for gastronomy is great in Vorarlberg: The tests skyrocketed, at the same time more and more innkeepers opened their doors.

For a week now, catering operators in Vorarlberg have been able to do something that their industry colleagues in the rest of Austria can only dream of: unlock. While it was around 30 percent at the beginning of the previous week, 70 to 80 percent of all 1,800 restaurants in the state are now open – especially in the cities. “Many have been waiting for the weekend,” reports Herbert Motter from the Vorarlberg Chamber of Commerce (WKV).
