Through the cat’s eyes: a Christmas letter with an unusual point of view

Would you like to write your annual Christmas letter from an unusual point of view? Here is a template of a Christmas letter that you can adapt that is written as you see it through the eyes of your pet cat. Just fill in the blanks with your own story and mail it to all your friends and family. If you have another favorite pet, you can improvise to suit that animal. To add to the fun, include a postage stamp with a photo of your pet (available online) or sign it with your pet’s paw print.

Greetings!

It is that time of year to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. I hope everyone had a really wonderful past year. I had a year that was the cat’s meow! Let me tell you all about it.

This year my owner celebrated ______. Special guests attended, including ______, and everyone had a great time, categorically speaking.

On vacation, my owner went to ______. I missed being scratched behind my ears while they were gone, but the story they told about ______ was more entertaining than catnip.

And speaking of noteworthy stories, guess who was on the runway last year? _____ received an award for ______. I was proud to be a part of that day. It was milk and honey for everyone!

The rest of the year has been literally busier than all of my last nine lives. ______ is involved with ______ and that leaves me with little to do other than entertain myself with cat and mouse games. It’s good that I enjoy naps because ______ has plans to ______. It tires me just thinking about it.

Well that’s the news from my eyes. I’ve had a blessed year of content, free of irritating skin balls. I’m curious what you are doing and hope to hear from you soon.

Have an incredibly wonderful New Year. I’m so excited it’s like cat scratch fever around here.

Of your feline friend,
