Weight loss exercises made easy

Everyone knows that to lose weight, we need to eat sensibly and exercise regularly. It’s so easy to say, but why does it seem so hard to do? I tell you that exercising effectively is all about attitude. If you could understand how simple it is to incorporate exercise into your daily routine, you could make the decision to do it now. That decision would lead to weight loss, and the weight loss would change her life.

At least there will be fewer interruptions and you can go through the day knowing that he is behind you, a great feeling! If you leave it for another time, you may find it playing on your mind during the day and you may feel like it’s hanging over your head. Unexpected things often come up and you will find yourself cutting them out of your routine for the day. After losing a session, you may find yourself feeling a little disappointed in yourself and less willing to continue. Does any of this sound familiar to you? Incorporate exercise into your daily routine. Put away the TV remote and everyone will be forced to get up to change channels. Park in the parking spot furthest from the store door and everyone is forced to walk quickly across the parking lot. Carrying the shopping bags to the car will be like lifting weights at the gym! Choose to take the stairs EVERY time instead of the elevator. Get off the bus one stop before your regular stop and walk the extra distance. Take a break during your busy work day (especially if you sit at a computer most of the day) and take a brisk walk around the block. You will be absolutely amazed at the difference it will make to your powers of concentration and well-being.

Compete with yourself. If you manage to organize a daily walk (or a walk three times a week at least), have fun creating a chart and display it somewhere prominent, like on your fridge. Time each walk and see how you shave minutes off your previous best time. This will inevitably happen as you get fitter and fitter. Include a column to measure your pulse rate when you return home and you’ll be delighted to see your fitness levels rise too. Before long you will be able to increase the duration of your walk and still return home in the same amount of time.

Work out somewhere inspiring. The good thing about brisk walking is that you get to choose your destination. Get in your car and go somewhere you love. If you are very lucky, you will live near a lake, beach, river, forest, or scenic area. Maybe your favorite place is a mall. I know a woman who combines retail therapy with her need for companionship and exercise, so she walks five times a morning through her local mall. It’s what works for you!

Don’t overdo it. This is often a trap for enthusiasts. Always start small and allow your challenges to grow. If you lift weights that are too heavy or start jogging before you’ve mastered brisk walking, you’re in trouble. At worst, you’ll injure yourself or endanger your health, and at best, you’ll be sore and sorry the next day. Many times I have witnessed runners (often seniors) nearly commit suicide by the roadside. I wish they would realize that a very fast walk will do them more good than their excruciating running.

Swimming is a fabulous activity suitable for all ages. It is low impact and works all parts of your body. It’s nice and if you live near a heated pool it’s suitable for all times of the year. You can go at your own pace and because it’s an individual quest, you won’t feel like you’re letting anyone down if you’re slow or clumsy.

If you need more motivation and responsibility, choose your favorite sport and join a local sports competition. Team sports may be the answer for you. It’s amazing how we feel we can’t let others down and that’s why we show up to play even when we don’t feel like it.

Enjoy all the benefits and see results quickly by consuming water during your workout and a whey protein shake or drink afterward.
