Barrow-in-Furness – Cumbria – Your Next Best Holiday

Barrow-in-Furness, or Borrow for short, is a pretty seaport and industrial town that is an exceptional place to visit. It can be found in Cumbria, England, northwest of Manchester and fifty-four miles from Carlisle. You can find this town sitting on top of the Furness Peninsula. We really enjoyed this city and our only complaint was the fact that we couldn’t live there because we had a job at home.

In Barrow, you will come across many different pubs. In fact, there are fourteen of them. You will also come across many different clubs and bars found in the Barrow Town Center on Cornwallis Street and Duke Street.

Some of the popular venues found on Duke Street include Chambers, Cairo Bar, The Lounge, and Yates. At Cornwallis Street, you will meet the Gaza Strip. The Tahitian Princess visited this port during May 2009.

Walney Island protects the city from the Irish Sea. This is an island fourteen miles long. It is being connected to the mainland by a type of jubilee bascule bridge. During the 1800s, Barrow had a population of thousands. Twenty years later, it has a population of sixty thousand. The people who come from this town are known as Barrovians.

There are many night clubs, restaurants, pubs and shops that you can visit while you are in this city. No matter what you do, you should book a hotel room in advance to ensure you get the best. There are many packages that you can find on the Internet that will allow you to pay a flat rate for airlines, hotels, rental cars and everything else you may need. Overall, we know you’ll enjoy the city as it has so much to offer.
