The Proximus ePro League, the Belgian FIFA 21 championship, ended a new week of competition this afternoon. A few twists and turns shook the left table, including the loss of leader Zulte Waregem in the opening match against Zakaria Bentato of Sporting Anderlecht!
Here are the full results of this fourteenth day of competition:
While the match between Club Brugge and Antwerp, both engaged in the playoff race, had to be postponed, other big guys this season have engaged in merciless duels in an attempt to grab new points in the general classification. This is particularly the case for leader Zulte Waregem, who lost valuable units in his duel against Sporting Anderlecht.
KRC Genk and Standard de Liège, neck to neck in the general classification, were unable to decide between themselves on virtual grounds and parted back to back. For its part, Sporting de Charleroi, melting from week to week on the leading duo, also lost precious points this afternoon against Beerschot.
In the rest of the matches, we will note the cards of Sint-Truiden against Waasland-Beveren and Excel Mouscron against the unfortunate Ostend.
This success also allows the “Hurlu”, Anthony Rocchetti, to return to the top 8, placing himself just behind Club Brugge (with its late match) and Standard de Liège. At the same time, Antwerp, also in deficit by one meeting and three potential points, was ejected from places leading to the playoffs.
On the other hand, following his great victory and the setback of the leader, the “Canary” Elias “Zayror” Bray comes back just a small point from the championship lead. The fight promises to be tough in the few remaining days and it is today impossible to predict the final ranking of this classic phase!
See you in two weeks, Wednesday March 31 at 1:00 p.m., on the Eleven Sports channels or on the event’s YouTube channel to follow the rest of this Proximus ePro League.
