The difference between telepathy and clairvoyance

It can be difficult to know what the differences are between the abilities that people have in the psychic world. From precognition to remote viewing, from astral projection to dowsing, the range of psychic abilities is vast, covering a wide range of abilities and talents.

What one psychic can do doesn’t mean another will be the same. Most psychics, even though they are born with an innate ability, still have to spend years honing their skills and talents in order for them to be used in the right way. It’s worth keeping in mind that when choosing a psychic, the more experience they have in their field, the more accurate their readings will be.

Two of the most common abilities that relate to the psychic world are telepathy and clairvoyance, but do we really know what they mean and what is the difference between them?

The key difference between the two is that with clairvoyance, the information obtained from the clairvoyant comes directly from an external source, whereas with telepathy it is transferred from one individual’s mind to another, often in the case of a reading, from the receiver to the psychic

Clairvoyance means ‘seeing’ and is one facet of Clairsensing, the other being Clairaudience which means hearing. An individual may have the talent of clairvoyance but not clairaudience. In the Clairsensing realms there are other abilities. Clairvoyance is the ability to feel and touch, clairvoyance is the ability to smell, clairvoyance is the ability to know, and clairvoyance is the ability to taste. Clairvoyance is by far the most commonly used ability in psychic readings than lesser known clairvoyants, although some psychics can use a combination of a few if they have the ability.

Telepathy, though classified similarly to clairvoyance, is the ability to transfer information, be it thoughts or feelings, between individuals by means other than the five classic senses most of us are born with. A successful telepath could read other thoughts and mental contents through the use of paranormal abilities.

Like Clairensing, telepathy can take many different forms, the most notable being latent telepathy and precognitive telepathy.
