The movie ‘Vampires Suck’ delivered quite a few laughs

20th Century Fox distributed their parody/comedy movie titled “Vampires Suck” in theaters a while ago. I just watched, and I think overall, it was kind of funny. Some of the jokes were dumb, so I can see major movie critics giving it some pretty bad reviews.

At the same time, he wasn’t 100% bad considering he delivered some pretty comedic skits for the “Twilight Saga” movies. Features: Matt Lanter, Emily Brobst, Jenn Proske, Chris Riggi, Krystal Mayo, Crista Flanagan, Ken Jeong, Arielle Kebbel, and Devon Kelly.

“Vampires Suck” focused on the character of Becca, who was a parody of the Twilight Saga character Bella. She at some point she meets Jacob, then Edward, but her name is Edward Sullen instead of Cullen. Becca and Edward play the same scenarios as the Twilight movies, accept that there’s a little parody twist to them.

Edward saves Becca from the speeding van by throwing another person in front of her, he gets rid of the vampire James by hitting him over the head with a baseball bat and pushing him up his butt, Edward’s entire family tries to go after Becca instead from just the one member, and more.

And lastly, after providing skit after skit, he delivered a wild ending, involving the Volturi Clan, or the Volturi Clan parody, I should say. They hired this funny Asian guy from the movie “The Hangover” to play the lead Volturi, and he was hilarious.

Edward and the Volturi ended up fighting at the high school prom instead of the private palace in Italy. I think overall the movie was pretty funny. They definitely missed some of the skits because they were too silly, but it was never bland and it made me smile so I enjoyed it. It also showed a hysterical parody of “Buffy The Vampire Slayer”. I gave it a grade of B.
