Germany has countered the criticism of Federal Chancellor Sebastian Kurz (ÖVP) about the different vaccine distribution in the EU. The reason is that EU countries are not fully purchasing the quantities to which they are entitled, according to a government spokesman in Berlin on Friday. In this case, other states could buy up these cans. Kurz had spoken of a “bazaar” and expressed the suspicion of subsidiary agreements with pharmaceutical companies. Malta also rejected the allegations.
